Momentum on hemp

by Suzanne Bonamici

Good news:

Earlier this year, thousands of Oregonians signed our petition calling on Congress to pass the Industrial Hemp Farming Act – a bill I’m co-sponsoring to end the prohibition against growing hemp in America.

Last week, Democrats and Republicans came together to take a first step – the House passed an amendment to stop the federal government from going after hemp farmers.

We’ve jumped the first major hurdle to ending this senseless ban on an important agricultural product, but we still have work to do.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Sign the Petition: tell Congress to end the hemp prohibition!

Stay tuned and stay involved!
