This is a great way to support Congresswoman Bonamici, meet like-minded people, and gain campaign, political, and fundraising experience. No political or campaign experience is required and there is no shortage of work to be done! Our ideal candidates are ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work on whatever comes their way. This position requires a minimum commitment of 8 hours per week for 3 months. This position is unpaid. If you are a high school or college student, we are happy to work with you and your school to arrange for academic credit.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The specific roles and responsibilities are flexible, depending upon the interests and experience of the individual, as well as the immediate needs of the campaign, and may include any or all of the following:
Supporting donor research and prospecting efforts Recruiting volunteers Maintaining donor and volunteer database Assisting with both traditional and social media projects Staffing campaign events Assisting with select administrative duties *Coordinating field projects and outreach
Willing to work hard and excited to learn Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with databases a plus Commitment to progressive political causes and candidates Access to laptop and vehicle a plus
