Grateful

This Veterans Day, please join me in honoring the men and women who have bravely worn the uniform in service to our country.

My father served in the United States Navy, and I have had many conversations with veterans and their families about the challenges they face and the sacrifices they make. We are truly grateful for their courage and willingness to protect our values and freedoms.

In Congress, I've helped pass legislation to upgrade our local VA medical centers, provide veterans exposed to toxins with the health care they deserve, and match veterans with good, high-paying manufacturing jobs after they reenter civilian life. There is much more left to do for veterans, and I am committed to getting services, jobs, housing, and health care to those who served our country.

I'm wishing you all a meaningful Veterans Day, and please remember to take a moment this weekend to thank a veteran.
