Bonamici Officially Files Candidacy for Reelection for Second Full Term in U.S. Congress

BEAVERTON, OR (February 27, 2014) – Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (OR-1) has filed her candidacy for reelection to the U.S. Congress. A Washington County Democrat, Congresswoman Bonamici is currently serving her first full term. “It’s been an honor to serve the constituents of the First Congressional District over the last two years. There is a lot of work still to be done, and I am asking for support today so I can continue my work for Oregonians,” stated Rep. Bonamici.

Suzanne Bonamici is seeking the support of voters across Oregon’s diverse First Congressional District, which includes Washington, Yamhill, Columbia, and Clatsop counties and parts of Multnomah County.

“I will continue my work to build the economy and stand up for seniors, veterans, working families, and those who are still seeking employment. My work will continue on behalf of LGBT equality and women who do not earn equal pay,” said Bonamici. “I am focused on education from early childhood through higher education, and I’m working to make college more accessible and affordable.”

Bonamici has filed her candidacy as a Democrat with the Oregon Secretary of State.
