Vote YES on the Beaverton School Bond
Tuesday’s election might not attract the buzz of 2012. But your vote will make a big difference in setting the direction of our community for years to come. If you haven’t already voted, please fill out and return your ballot to an official drop box today.
First, I ask for your vote in the Democratic primary. Every vote matters, and a strong showing in the primary will help me win in November. I’m honored to serve as your representative in Congress.
Then – please vote YES on the Beaverton School Bond!
Eight years have passed since voters last approved a bond for Beaverton’s school facilities. The district needs to increase capacity and modernize existing buildings. Teachers and administrators are doing their best to keep student achievement high, but they’re contending with overcrowded, aging classrooms in need of repairs. Importantly, because prior bonds have expired, it is expected that this bond measure will not raise your taxes.
It’s time for us to make this critical investment in our schools, for the sake of our kids and the future of our community.
Thank you for your vote and your commitment to our community.
