Families
Thanksgiving is a time to reconnect with family and to appreciate what we have. It’s also a time to recommit to helping those who are struggling to get ahead.
I'm thankful that the people in Northwest Oregon have given me the opportunity to make our country a better place, and I am working hard to make a positive difference. Public education is a great equalizer, and families will benefit from the work I am doing to replace the broken ‘No Child Left Behind' law. Women will be better able to plan their families when we make sure they have access to comprehensive reproductive health care services. And families will be healthier and happier when parents earn living wages and paid leave to care for a newborn or a sick child.
These are real family values, and I am working for them every day.
It can be challenging in Congress, but I’m building bipartisan relationships and staying optimistic. If we stand together we can make progress for women, children, and families. Will you donate now to help me continue this important work?
With best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving to you, your family, and friends!
