Stop the partisan tax plan - before it's too late!
House Republicans passed their partisan tax plan yesterday, and I am outraged.
The bill is full of tax cuts that benefit millionaires and billionaires. It eliminates deductions for medical expenses, student loan interest, state and local taxes, and more. This plan increases the taxes paid by many working families, and it makes graduate education unaffordable for all but the very wealthy. To make things worse, it adds $1.5 trillion to the deficit.
On top of it all, the Senate is trying to weaken the Affordable Care Act in their version of tax reform. This will likely lead to higher premiums and more people without access to health care.
The Senate bill was passed out of committee and is headed for a vote by the full Senate soon. We can still stop this destructive plan – just like we did with Trumpcare. Please join me by sharing my Facebook post and standing against this partisan tax scheme.
