During Pride month, we celebrate the progress that's been made toward justice for the LGBTQ+ community. But on the anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, and with uncertainty in the courts, we are reminded of how much work there is still left to do.

Despite school bullies, bathroom bill zealots, and criminals who take up arms – the LGBTQ+ community keeps fighting for equity and justice. I am an ally in Congress for our LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors, and for others who face discrimination and threats of violence.

On this Pride month and always, let's spread a message of love and acceptance – not hate.
