more important every year

Last weekend, I happily joined many in Oregon's LGBTQ+ community at the Portland Pride Parade. Joining a parade for equality seemed even more important this year, as we have seen a troubling increase in discrimination and hate with the Trump Administration.

I look forward to Pride weekend again next year. In the meantime, there's still a lot of work ahead in our efforts to heighten awareness about issues facing the LGBTQ+ community and combat hateful and discriminatory policies.
