Children need loving homes, not discrimination

Trump and the GOP leadership in Congress are turning back the clock on equality and common sense.

Now they are threatening to prevent LGBTQ+ families from adopting. This is absurd.

No child should lose the chance to grow up in a loving environment because of someone else's bigotry. The House Appropriations Committee voted to allow adoption agencies to discriminate against LGBTQ+ couples who want to adopt. Next stop: the full House of Representatives.

What are they thinking? More than 100,000 children await adoption in the United States. Why would the GOP deny children the opportunity to join loving families?
