future leaders
It's been one year since the total solar eclipse when thousands of people flocked to Oregon to watch the rare event. For many students, the eclipse sparked their interest in studying astronomy, science, and our rapidly-changing world.
On this anniversary, I recommit to support for well-rounded education that prepares today's students for the complex challenges that are ahead.
Will you join me in helping to prepare the problem solvers of tomorrow with a contribution?
I'm a proponent of STEAM education, which integrates art and design into science, technology, engineering, and mathematics so we can build a next-generation economy and make sure that the United States is a leader in innovation. Advancing STEAM education can also increase the number of women and people of color in STEM fields, communities that have been historically underrepresented and underserved.
Recently I saw a young child wearing a T-shirt that said "I'm not a rocket scientist – yet." Today's children will be rocket scientists – and authors and inventors and farmers and nurses – tomorrow. Together, let's create a better future for them.
Thank you for standing with me,
Suzanne
