Women are running for Congress in record numbers

Yesterday was Women's Equality Day.

Who would have thought we would still be fighting for rights and respect in 2018?

Women are half the population, yet we comprise only 20 percent of the 535 members of the House and Senate. That's not good enough.

This year, it feels like things are finally changing. Women are rejecting the Trump administration's offensive policies and rhetoric and stepping up to take the lead.

Impressive women are running for Congress in record numbers and I am excited for the future of our country.

Research shows that when women are around the table, we get things done.

In the coming weeks, I'll introduce you to some excellent, highly qualified women candidates for Congress who are running to flip red seats to blue. They'll need our help to change the House – and the world.

We're going to need courage, brains, and skill to turn our nation around. Who better than these hard-working, dedicated women? Watch for news about them soon.

With appreciation,

Suzanne
