I've had more conversations than I can count about gun violence in schools. But we're not going to stop talking until there is action to address the senseless acts of violence.

Instead of having a meaningful conversation about how to keep students safe at school, and instead of working toward commonsense gun safety legislation, Betsy DeVos has other ideas.

Donald Trump's Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos wants to allow school districts to buy guns to arm teachers using federal funding that is intended to support student enrichment. That's outrageous and unacceptable.

Sign the petition and tell Congress: Stop Betsy DeVos from letting school districts use federal funds to arm teachers and further endanger our children.

The gun lobby's push to arm teachers puts profits ahead of the safety of students and teachers, and it distracts from real gun safety reform. We can't allow their heartless, dangerous agenda to threaten our children's safety.

Congress must pass comprehensive gun safety laws and block any attempt to use federal funds to arm teachers.

Our students deserve safe schools, and arming teachers won't help.
