Little monsters

I always enjoy Halloween. It's a chance to see all the kids and young families in the neighborhood having fun together. Seeing those kids reminds me why I first ran for public office, and what I'm fighting for in Congress today.

All of our kids and grandkids deserve to have the opportunity to achieve their dreams – to grow up in a country that is more equal and more just, where college is affordable, and where good jobs are plentiful. And they deserve to grow up in a world of peace, and on a planet where global warming is in retreat.

There's too much at stake for the next generation:

• Access to affordable health care
• Social Security and other earned benefits
• Policies welcoming to everyone, including the LGBTQ community, all religions, races, refugees, and immigrants
• Common sense approaches to prevent gun violence

There are still thousands of voters in Northwest Oregon we need to reach before Election Day, and it's going to take an enormous effort to get it done. Please chip in and let's finish this election strong.
