Happy New Year. And what a year we've had.

Democrats won a majority in the U.S. House, and we’ll be joined by newly-elected representatives who bring diverse perspectives and impressive experiences. I’m excited that we will have an unprecedented number of women.

We combated local proposals that would have harmed our communities and limited access to reproductive health care.

None of this would have been possible without you, and I appreciate your continued interest and support!

And yet challenges remain. We are currently more than a week into Trump's unnecessary government shutdown. It’s unacceptable that so many federal workers are going without paychecks, with no end in sight. I'm ready for the new Congress and the opportunities it will bring to make positive change for Oregonians and Americans.
