📷 International Women's Day 📷

Today is International Women's Day, a worldwide celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This year, International Women's Day is the same week as the Portland Womxn's March – which was an energizing way to start the week!

It was wonderful to see thousands of Oregonians at the march. I was moved by the empowering words of the speakers and participants.

When I addressed the crowd, I focused on the benefits of having diverse women in office – including the incredible group of women colleagues I have the honor of working with in D.C.

One thing is clear: empowered women empower women.

Let's keep up this momentum for our next big fight: 2020.
