Americans want something to change in our health care system
The health care system in this country is broken, inefficient, and way too complicated. You know it and I know it. We're spending way too much, and getting way too little in return.
Something has to change.
Yesterday, I hosted a Medicare For All Speak Out with my friends and progressive champions, Congressman Earl Blumenauer and Congresswoman Pramilia Jayapal. I am grateful for those who joined us to talk about their experiences and discuss the challenges with our health care system.
We heard stories from people struggling to pay their ridiculous medical bills, worrying about affording prescription medication, and those who are frustrated with trying to navigate the health care system. We need a change in this country, and the change I'm fighting for is Medicare for All.
Thank you to those who joined me in Portland, and for your continued advocacy on this important issue. In the United States of America, no one should be without health care.
In solidarity,
Suzanne
