Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Ohio, and Kentucky.

These states have all adopted harmful, unconstitutional abortion bans.

Politicians in these states are using misinformation, extremist rhetoric, and in many cases outright lies to pass an agenda that will not stop abortions, but instead will leave women desperate and in dangerous situations.

Banning abortion at six weeks means:

• eliminating this option before most women would even know they're pregnant;
• those who need to terminate a pregnancy would have to manage prompt and expensive travel to a state where they can get the care they need;
• those who cannot afford out-of-state travel would have to consider dangerous options.

I trust women to make their own health care decisions with their health care providers. And I am committed to defending their right to do so in Congress.
