$7.25 ➠ $15
The federal minimum wage is $7.25.
Even if someone works full-time, that's not nearly enough for families to afford basic expenses like food, housing, and childcare.
This low minimum wage exacerbates income inequality, perpetuates wage gaps, and leaves too many individuals who are working full-time in poverty. In states like Oregon, where wages exceed the federal minimum, families are still struggling to get by.
That's why I'm thrilled to report that I recently joined House Democrats in voting to raise the federal minimum wage; by 2025 it will be $15 per hour!
Sign my petition: urge the Senate to pass our bill NOW to raise the federal minimum wage.
Everyone should be able to afford basic needs like food, housing, and health care.
It's time to treat workers with the respect and dignity they deserve.
Sign the petition: Urge the Senate to raise the federal minimum wage NOW!
