Every community, every culture, every socioeconomic background
In Congress, I've worked hard to earn my position as a leader on public education. The policies we enact will make a significant difference in the lives of students and families, and our goals include:
- Expanding access to high-quality early learning opportunities;
- Providing students with a well-rounded education;
- Addressing resource inequalities in K-12 education; and
- Making college affordable.
I need your help with one of these goals now: expanding access to early learning.
It's well-known that Pre-K education matters in the long-run: students who complete quality Pre-K programs are more likely to find academic and career success. But most American families – particularly in lower-income communities and communities of color – don't have that opportunity.
Now is our chance to close the gap: Congress must make a robust investment in Pre-K education programs. Sign our petition and urge Congress to expand funding for Pre-K education.
Join me in calling on Congress to expand access to high-quality early learning opportunities so young children in every community and from every cultural and socioeconomic background can participate in enriching activities that prepare them to do well when they enter school.
Thank you for standing with me,
