Our fight to outlaw toxic asbestos

Too many Americans are exposed to cancerous asbestos – often without their knowledge.

The fight against asbestos exposure and mesothelioma is not just about health care; it's also about finally outlawing a known carcinogen that has already caused too many families to suffer.

This is about watching out for the health and safety of hardworking Americans whose lives are at risk.

I've taken the lead in Congress on outlawing toxic asbestos.

My bill to ban asbestos would finally ban the mining, importation, use, and distribution of asbestos.

Our work is not done: I will do all I can to make sure the House and Senate pass this lifesaving legislation – and that it's signed into law.
