๐ The unique burden of being sick in the U.S.๐
Last week, I brought one of Oregon's leading health care advocates to be my guest at the State of the Union address. She and the Federally Qualified Health Center where she works do incredible work to make sure all Oregonians have access to quality, affordable services.
My guest and I had several conversations about the state of health care in the United States. One concern we heard about was the soaring costs of prescription drugs.
Americans are struggling to afford their prescription medications. Worrying about your health, navigating the health care system, and experiencing physical discomfort is difficult enough without the added financial burden.
The plan is simple: get more generic drugs to the market and promote competition among drug manufacturers to lower prices. The House has already taken action by passing HR 3, but now it's the Senate's turn.
Sign my petition: urge Congress to make prescription drugs more affordable for all.
