Going backward? ← Not here.
Health care is a human right. But Donald Trump and Republicans continue to try and take it away from millions of Americans.
The Republican health care plan since 2010 has been to repeal the Affordable Care Act, throw millions of people off their insurance plans, and leave them at risk.
Here are the facts:
The Trump Administration has asked the Supreme Court to strike down the Affordable Care Act, even though the Court already upheld it back in 2012.
If the ACA is gone, millions of Americans – young adults, middle-class families, seniors, and people with preexisting conditions – would be left without coverage. We'd be returning to a time when health care was for those who could afford it, and an accident or unexpected illness could bankrupt a family.
And, of course, we're still in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, making health care more important than ever.
We can't give up. Ever.
We have to keep fighting to keep the House. Win the Senate. And defeat Donald Trump in November. Because our health care, and so much more, depends on November's election.
