For every student.
This year, our students and teachers are facing unprecedented challenges. They need fierce advocates in the Department of Education and supportive leadership in Congress.
Instead, they have an ineffective COVID-19 task force, an ideological Secretary of Education, an Administration committed to rolling back the civil rights of students, and a President who puts his own political goals over the health of our students and teachers.
A quality, public education is a powerful force for economic and social mobility.
In Congress, I have the honor of serving as the Chair of the Education and Labor Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Human Services. I'm making progress on pay equity, child nutrition, child abuse prevention, LGBTQ equality, youth homelessness, employment discrimination, and protections for pregnant workers. And I'm calling for more science, research, and resources so our schools can reopen safely.
I am passionate about this work, and I am eager to continue. Will you help me stand with students and teachers across the country by chipping in to my re-election campaign today?
Thank you for standing with me,
Suzanne
