✍️ Signature needed: pause the Supreme Court hearings

We lost a civil rights icon, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, just a few weeks ago. With the presidential election only 14 days away, the Trump administration is scrambling to make an aggressive political play to fill her vacant seat.

This maneuver is blatantly hypocritical. In March of 2016, Republican Senators blocked President Obama's nominee Merrick Garland because they said it was too close to the November election.

It's not just the hypocrisy. There's too much at stake to let them get away with this: reproductive freedom, the essential provisions of the Affordable Care Act, and the future of our democracy.

Please sign my petition urging the Senate to halt the nomination hearings until January. It was Justice Ginsburg's final wish, and it's what is fair.
