America needs pandemic relief. Here's what it should look like:

The COVID-19 pandemic is on a dangerous upswing. More and more Americans are getting sick every day and it’s taking a tremendous toll on our health care workers, families, and economy.

We can’t wait another moment. And yet, what are Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump doing to address the crisis? Nothing.

With the pandemic getting worse every day, McConnell and Trump have abandoned their most basic responsibilities.

House Democrats passed a robust pandemic aid package months ago. Senate Republicans didn’t even bother to take it up.

Oregonians and Americans need help right now. And it’s within our power and authority to guarantee paychecks, provide emergency aid, and support our frontline responders during these next few critical months.

In the meantime, I’ll continue to demand that Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump come back to the negotiating table and get serious. The American people deserve nothing less than our full effort.
