Our hard work is paying off

It's been a little over a month since President Joe Biden took office, and already he's shown that all of our hard work over the last few years was worth it.

What have we seen? Only the beginning:

• We are rejoining the Paris Climate Accord, putting science at the forefront in the fight against climate change, protecting our public lands, and rebuilding the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of the Interior after years of neglect and sabotage by Donald Trump.

• We are moving forward with a big, bold pandemic relief package that helps families and small businesses who are struggling through the pandemic; provides the help that colleges, schools, and child care providers need to safely reopen; and expedites the distribution of vaccines.

• We are taking on racial injustice in the Biden administration and in Congress with the plan to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act soon. President Biden has restored DACA and proposed a clear path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. The Biden administration looks like America and will represent all Americans.

• We're restoring ethical leadership. President Biden implemented tough new ethics standards for his administration, and Congress is focusing on the For The People Act—which will reduce the power of big money in politics and codify new ethical standards. And that's only in the first month.

This is the time for big, bold solutions. I will continue to call on the Biden administration to deliver on these crucial priorities to help us build back better. We don't have time to wait!
