Know someone who needs health care?
While Donald Trump was president, he did everything he could to repeal and tear down the Affordable Care Act.
One of his tactics was to make it very challenging for people to get facts about the ACA, including when there are opportunities to enroll. In the midst of a pandemic, as millions were losing their jobs, people need more – not less - access to health care.
Fortunately, one of the first actions President Biden took was to turn things around. We are now in a special open enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act.
I hope you have accessible, affordable health care; if so, this might not apply to you. But it might matter to someone you care about. Please forward this message to a friend or loved one who needs better health care options.
It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from—access to affordable health care should be readily available for everyone.
The Affordable Care Act is part of the solution. When it is fully implemented, it means better health care for Oregonians and Americans.
Don't forget: the special open enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act is open now.
