COVID-19 update
Over the past 18 months, we have made some significant advancements in managing the COVID-19 pandemic.
More than 170 million Americans, including a majority of Oregonians. have been fully vaccinated,
But as the Delta variant continues to spread across the nation, it is clear that our fight is not over.
Here in Oregon, our hospitals and staffing capacity have been pushed close to their limit. I have requested that FEMA send assistance to our state to address the latest coronavirus surge.
In the meantime, there are preventive steps you can take to minimize your risk of an infection:

Critically, anyone eligible to get the vaccine who has not yet done so should get it as soon as possible. For your protection. For your loved ones' protection. You can find a free vaccine near you.

Be sure to continue to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including responsibly masking.
It's also important to remember that every area is experiencing Coronavirus differently. Please be sure to follow your county's recommendations:
