An opportunity to Build Back Better.
We can create life-changing opportunities for our Northwest Oregon communities and our planet. The Build Back Better Plan and our infrastructure package combine these goals and more. These bills are moving through the process now, and critical wins in the legislation include:
- Access to affordable child care;
- Two years of tuition-free community college;
- Meaningful action to address the climate crisis;
- Restoration of our coastal ecosystems;
- More job training for high-quality careers;
- And of course, creating thousands of good-paying jobs.
This is why we fought so hard for a Democratic majority.
We don't have to choose between protecting our environment, creating good jobs, and making child care affordable for everyone — all of this is possible. Together, we can provide meaningful opportunities for everyone.
I have advocated throughout my career to strengthen public education, urgently act on the climate crisis, and support working families. And I will continue until this effort becomes reality.
