I am a proud graduate of public schools, and so are my children. Our public schools are designed to teach critical thinking and accurate, inclusive, representative history. When Mike Pence claims we are spreading 'Critical Race Theory' he's not only wrong; he's fear-mongering to divide our communities.
Republicans like Pence see NW Oregon as part of their 2022 plan to make gains in Congress. That's why Pence was here, and it's why he's using the Republican misinformation playbook to try to win back the majority.
