Happy birthday 🎂

Today is my birthday.

As I reflect on the difficulties of the past year, I'm also aware of the opportunities in the year to come. The last 19 months have been particularly challenging for us all, but I know a better future is possible.

So today on my birthday, instead of sending an email fundraiser or asking you to sign a card, I want to take the opportunity to say thank you. Thank you for your support for my campaign. But also, and importantly, thank you for your commitment to justice and progress. And thank you to all of you who have stepped up to serve your community during this difficult time.

We know that the next year won't be easy, but I am fortunate to have you standing with me—especially on my birthday.
