A better future for everyone in Oregon and across the country
We've been through a lot over the past two years. The pandemic upended lives and affected every family and every community in profound and often painful ways.
We witnessed just how fragile our democratic republic is when Donald Trump incited a violent insurrection in an attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
We've seen voting rights and LGTBQ+ rights under attack across the country. And now, Roe v. Wade is on the brink of being overturned because Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell packed the Supreme Court with anti-choice justices.
It's easy to get discouraged in times like these, but now is when we fight harder. It's when we come together and acknowledge that our country is worth it. Our families and communities and economy depend on it. It's a fight for a better future.
That's why I'm running for reelection to Congress.
In the House, I voted to enshrine Roe v. Wade into law. That bill did not pass the Senate, but we are not giving up. I will continue to fight until every person in the country has the liberty to make their own health care decisions.
I will keep up the fight to restore voting protections, strengthen our democracy, and take bold action on climate.
And I will fight any attempts to discriminate against Oregonians and Americans because of who they are, how they identify, or who they love.
Thank you so much for your support over the years. It's been the honor of my lifetime to represent you in Congress.
