The fight is not over
We are facing a consequential election this year. So much is on the line.
Abortion rights. Climate action. Affordable health care. Voting rights.
We must make sure Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy don't take over the Senate and the House.
The dangerous Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade will disproportionately harm low-income women and women of color. We need to elect more reproductive rights champions and we need to do it this November. There is no time to waste.
I was proud to help the House pass the Women's Health Protection Act to codify Roe v. Wade in federal law. But the Senate couldn't overcome a GOP filibuster and get it across the finish line. I'm also leading bicameral legislation to stop anti-abortion misinformation by Crisis Pregnancy Centers. But there is still much more that Congress and the President can do right now to make a difference in the lives of those people seeking abortion care, and we won't give up the fight.
If we can get out the vote, hold the House, and expand our Senate majority, we have a chance to reverse the Supreme Court's harmful decision and protect reproductive rights for ALL Americans.
Mitch McConnell is already talking about advancing a nationwide law outlawing abortion. We can't let him get away with it.
With so much at stake, I thank you for standing with me.
