Unfortunately, recent reports show that only one third of four-year-olds and just six percent of three-year-olds are enrolled in preschool.
The main reason? Their parents can't afford it.
To address this issue, some places, including Multnomah County, Oregon, have implemented free universal preschool or pre-K for young children with impressive results.
And in Congress, I'm fighting for more investments in early education because *every child deserves a quality education, no matter their zip code.
