Instead of feeling hopeless

It's been a difficult few weeks in D.C. and across the country. Many have felt hopeless or defeated, but it's helpful and important to focus on the things you can do right now to make a positive difference in your community.

We know that NW Oregon is experiencing an unprecedented housing crisis. Many are dealing with housing instability, struggling with addiction, or facing food insecurity. And as we head into the cold winter months and the holiday season, the need increases.

This Thanksgiving, I hope you'll join me in supporting an organization that is making a difference in people's lives here in Oregon. Blanchet House is a non-profit organization that provides hot meals to anybody who needs one. They also run supportive housing programs and offer warm, dry clothing through their clothing closet. By leading with dignity and compassion, Blanchet House is helping to create a better future.
