“How can I help?”

During the last few weeks, Trump's strategy has been chaos and corruption.

He's allowed the unelected billionaire Elon Musk and a group of unaccountable DOGE cronies to access our personal data (including Social Security numbers) through the U.S. Treasury. He's attempted to freeze funds appropriated by Congress, which is illegal and unconstitutional, and he's tried to dismantle the agency that fights global famine, keeps people in the U.S. and around the world safe from preventable illness, and bolsters our national security. These are dangerous actions that will not lower costs and will definitely not make America greater or safer.

Their plan is to move fast and break things. As we hear about their next moves, we remain focused and determined. Importantly, we will not let them overwhelm us.

I frequently hear "how can I help?" You have been doing your part by calling, and we need to keep up the pressure. Here are a few ways to make your voice heard and help build the movement that will stop Trump:

  1. Jump in. Organizations like Indivisible are organizing nationally and on the ground in your communities. Sign up here for more information or to find a group doing this important work that speaks to you.
  2. Keep calling. Let your elected Congressional representatives know if you support their stand on the firings, freezes, and cuts. Talk with your neighbors and friends and encourage them to call, too. Here is a link to one group that is making the process easy: 5calls.org
  3. Track the progress. Here's a link where you can track the court cases challenging Trump and Musk's unlawful actions.
  4. Give. We're in this for the long haul and we'd be honored to earn a donation in support of this movement. 2026 is just around the corner and we must elect a Democratic Majority in the House.

Here are some actions I've taken so far to fight back:

  • I'm speaking out and showing up in D.C. and in Oregon. We will keep up the pressure, and we'll keep being loud and protesting. I hope you'll join me!
  • My Senate colleagues, Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, have been leading the fight in the Senate to block cabinet appointments and fight back. I'm encouraging all Senators to use every tool at their disposal to slow down or stop Trump's harmful agenda and dangerous nominees.
  • I'm working to increase opposition to harmful legislation where we can and make Republicans take tough votes. They need to own the implementation of Project 2025 and be held accountable by their constituents. And we won't make their jobs any easier.

Thank you for standing with me,

Suzanne
