No more ICE funding

Budgets for ICE have ballooned under the Trump administration. Even with tens of billions of dollars already budgeted, Republicans in Congress sent an additional $70 billion dollars this year to ICE and CBP. MAGA Republicans are spending your taxpayer dollars to fund an agency that's tearing families apart and terrorizing communities.

I have a better plan.

I've introduced legislation to take that $70 billion and send it to early childhood programs like Head Start, preschool programs, and childcare centers for working families.

A real investment in kids and families right at the start of their lives will set up the next generation for success. Working parents can have a safe and affordable childcare option so they don't disrupt jobs and careers. Kids can get the jumpstart they need on Kindergarten readiness by attending Head Start or preschool programs.

I will do all I can to repeal funding for the unaccountable and dangerous policies of ICE and invest in what children and families need most.
